Lotus Blooming: $400,000 Matching Gift Challenge!

Lotus Blooming – our fundraising campaign for Planting Zen in Siskiyou Square – has received a major boost!

An anonymous donor has given us a $200,000 matching gift to help us wrap-up fundraising for Phase 1 by December 31st. Successfully finishing Phase 1 will enable us to complete our new meditation hall (“Sodo”).

To get all $200,000 of this gift, we have to raise another $200,000. Our donor will match 1:1 every new, additional or increased gift or pledge from now through December 31st – doubling the financial impact of each donation!

Munnie, Julie and Karuna Kettler have donated $10,000 to Lotus Blooming.

“When I found Dharma Rain in 1996 I found a home. Practicing and engaging with the community led me to a path of learning, growth, acceptance and compassion.

“When I brought my daughters home from India I enrolled them in Dharma School and Dharma Camp. There they met new challenges, overcame fears, made lifelong friends and were accepted and loved. Both girls have grown to be compassionate, generous and loving women.

“Much of who we are today we owe to the teachings, support and kindness of our Dharma Rain family.”

– Julie Kettler, Dharma School parent and Lotus Blooming donor.
