Siskiyou Updates
There is a lot going on this week. GroundWork came in to help with putting together the raised beds for the gardens and also preparing the newly-picked plums for saving and eating. At the same time, construction workers were putting in a vault and manhole cover so that the methane pipes can be below street level and yet still be monitored monthly as required. This is in preparation for street widening and improvements. Other workers are beginning to dig the portion of the path going from our road by the shipping container to 82nd Avenue.
Blackberries are ripe on the property, and some of us are picking and eating them. There are plenty more available, so come on by and enjoy.
Wednesday work parties continue, except for the week of Genzo-e. Email kakumyo at dharma-hyphen-rain dot org if you think you’re coming to a Wednesday work party. The next Saturday work party is this coming Saturday, August 2. We will likely be doing further work on the raised beds in the garden.
