Planting Zen in Siskiyou Square

P0721-groundworks-900Yesterday we had two different non-profit groups working side by side on the property. Groundworks made raised beds for a community garden space that they will administer. And Oregon Tradeswomen is framing inside the Workshop (also known as the Barn). They will be coming one day a week for a month.
P0721Tradeswomen-framing-900Wednesday’s work party saw a variety of tasks being worked on, from installing the AED frame to shelves in the mechanical room. There are still several small tasks left to finish the Sodo, many of them not noticeable to most people, but important nonetheless. Regular Wednesday work parties are a great way to spend time with sangha doing useful things on the property. There are plenty of tasks for everyone who shows up between 9:30-3pm. If you are around for lunch time (12:30pm), you get lunch for free.
