Planting Zen in Siskiyou Square
We are finishing this stage of the “barn” (workshop) this week. All of the pieces are up, and Wednesday the repetitive “brrrrrrp, brrrrrrrp” went on all day long as volunteers tightened nuts and bolts. Kakumyo and Fujaku removed supports and scaffolding, and you can finally see how big it really is. In a few weeks, Oregon Tradeswomen will come in and finish the ends and interior as part of a training project, and we will have a functional workshop at last.
Regular Wednesday work parties are a great way to spend time with sangha doing useful things on the property. There are plenty of tasks for everyone who shows up between 9:30-3pm. If you are around for lunch time (12:30pm), you get lunch for free.
