Planting Zen in Siskiyou Square

C70-Gemmon-Ikuo-StonesThere’s a lot going on at Siskiyou Square. The pathway between 82nd and the parking lot / road got paved yesterday. The new flooring got delivered and unloaded into the Sodo this morning. And a helpful excavator driver moved a bunch of stones from the ravine up to a place where they can be considered for placement into our Japanese-style garden. Gemmon supervises Ikuo with a bobcat to move them further.

C66-firehydrant-600Street work is still primarily sewer and water hookup work along Siskiyou from Fremont to about 86th Ave. The fire hydrants are now live and were painted bright red.

The office has moved and is now functioning in Uji. Things are still a bit disorganized and will need a lot of sorting, but it is really nice to have everything in one place on the property, and have the chance to settle in for a little while.

C64-flooring-600We have work parties most Wednesdays from about 9:30am to about 3:30pm. Park nearby, walk in by the path, and look for people out toward the Sodo. Most of those days we will also be doing zazen in Uji from 11:30am to 12:25pm, followed by lunch at 12:30pm at the 85th house (3155 NE 85th, a block from the main gate)
