Jukai Ceremony

sacred-flower-JukaiOur annual Jukai retreat is in process this week, and will culminate in the Jukai ceremony on Sunday, when individuals receive the Bodhisattva Precepts and formally become Buddhists. Please come to witness this important event in the growth of the Sangha.

We have had three ceremonies so far (Kyojukaimon, Sange, and Ketchimyaku), with two more to go in this DaiJukai. Saturday evening (Recognition) will be the last of the ceremonies not ordinarily done during regular Jukai years. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend this open retreat for meditation and ceremonies. See the schedule.

Join us this Sunday, February 19, for zazen and the Jukai ceremony. Note that the schedule is different.

10:30am Zazen
11:00 Lay Ordination (Jukai Ceremony)
12:00 noon Tea / Cookies / Celebration
