Lotus Blooming Grants: $732,662 and Counting!

Fish & Wildlife FoundationMore good news: we recently received another grant – our 12th – for the environmental restoration component of Planting Zen in Siskiyou Square. The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation has awarded Dharma Rain $30,000. This brings the total of grant funds awarded to our project to $732,662 – far exceeding our original goal of $500,000.

This grant is another vote of confidence in our work restoring an urban landfill. Funds will allow us to continue the ecological restoration and educational programming we have been doing for the past two years.

The 12 grants we have received are restricted to restoring the land at Siskiyou Square, and do not defray the costs of building our Sodo or other structures. Even though we have exceeded our original goal for grant funding, we continue applying for additional grants as opportunities become available.
