Siskiyou Update
We had a wonderful work party on Wednesday, January 7, with sunny weather, lots of sangha members, and a lot of work done. We did a first sweeping of the inside of the Sodo in preparation for the Kanzeon Festival, which is to be held tomorrow morning (Saturday). We finished taping seams up high in the Sodo. Outdoors, there was planting going on. And that was just the volunteers. Contractor workers leveled out an area so they could move dry well equipment down the slope. Excavation is continuing in order to extend some of the underground pipes in preparation for moving a surcharge for the Householder Refuge buildings.
We have work days every Wednesday from about 9:30am to about 3pm. Lunch is provided to those around at noon. Contact Kakumyo [kakumyo at dharma-rain.org] to let him know you’re coming so he can plan, and come on down to 85th and Siskiyou to join the fun.
