Planting Zen in Siskiyou Square
Last week’s Genzo-e was the biggest ever. Highlights included sitting out on the engawa, and a walk in the ravine on the last day.
Yesterday the Oregon Tradeswomen were back for their third round of framing in the workshop/barn. Groundwork was here as well, continuing to work on a community garden. Yesterday’s work party did a lot of work inside the Sodo, including putting a finish on interior doors, and also continuing with gardening, watering, etc.
Regular Wednesday work parties are a great way to spend time with sangha doing useful things on the property. There are plenty of tasks for everyone who shows up between 9:30-3pm. If you are around for lunch time (12:30pm), you get lunch for free.
