Planting Zen in Siskiyou Square
We are reaping the results of past planting, as well as planting new things this year. This time of year everything turns green, sprouts, sends out new growth, and otherwise just looks beautiful. We are eating lettuce, peas, and some berries from the garden, and enjoying the many flowers all around us. Walking outside is a feast for the senses, and the bees and birds are very busy. Jean Johnson and others have been doing a lot of good work in the gardens.
This week we have a bobcat, which is being used to haul various things from one place to another. Here Fujaku carries trash over to the trash/recycling structure.
Wednesday work parties have resumed, and are a great way to spend time with sangha and doing some useful things on the property. Come on over between 9:30am and 3pm, and look for people near the Sodo. We have a lot of different kinds of work available to do, and if you are around for lunch time (12:30pm), you get lunch for free.
