Dharma Rain News
A couple of years ago, Fujaku planted a lot of strawberry plants. This week, we are reaping the fruit of that planting, while Fu swelters in a monastery in Japan. Nothing like sweet fresh-picked organic strawberries for breakfast and in desserts!
In other news, plumbing and electrical is moving forward on the duplexes, and volunteers continue to do various work indoors and outdoors. The concrete planters in front of the duplexes are getting a wood wrap-around.
The gardens are continuing to thrive and be worked on. We got a donation of large beautiful lettuces from others using garden beds on the property. And the asparagus! After some years of careful cultivation, we are enjoying asparagus like never before. And of course we share with those who join us for meals and work.
Wednesday Work Parties
We have regular Wednesday work parties from around 9am to 3:30pm. There is plenty of work for people to do, inside and outside, light and heavy. Come for as much or little of the time as you wish. We have tools and gloves, but if you have your own, feel free to bring them. If you are around at 12:30pm, we feed you lunch.
