Dharma Rain News
We sometimes get requests for an audio recording of our Sunday morning service. Good news! We now have this recording, which you are welcome to listen to and/or download. This can be helpful when traveling, for those who are home-bound, or for those just wanting help memorizing the chants.
Sarah weeds in the rain, wearing a boot due to a sprained ankle incurred while moving furniture out of the trailer. The gardens are a sea of grass right now, and need a lot of weeding.
On the other side of the Sodo, Kakumyo and Gary measure a panel for cutting, while Nancy does some cleaning up in one of the units that is almost done. Plumbing and electrical work are finished in the north building.
All of the residents and their belongings are now located in various places on the property, and it is wonderful to be all together out here at last. The dormitories are moving forward every day, and we hope to be in them soon.
Wednesday Work Parties
We have regular Wednesday work parties from around 9:30am to 3:30pm. There is plenty of work for people to do, inside and outside, light and heavy. Come for as much or little of the time as you wish. We have tools and gloves, but if you have your own, feel free to bring them. You are welcome to participate in a mid-day sit from 11:30am to 12:30pm, and if you are around at 12:30pm, we feed you lunch.
