Dharma Rain News
The plumbers have been working extra time and extra hard, and so has Kakumyo. We’ve passed one plumbing inspection, which allows sheetrock and texturing to finish in the north building, and have one more to proceed with the south building. Residents are planning to move in the first week of April. We’re on track to have the duplexes ready to paint inside for the work party this Saturday. In addition to painting inside (as you can see, there’s even heat!), there are also plenty of other tasks available, both inside and outside. Please find time to come even for a short time during the day. It’s a great opportunity to wear your grubbies, get your hands dirty, and socialize with sangha. Tools provided. The usual mid-day sit is from 11:30-12:30, and if you’re around at 12:30pm, we feed you lunch.
Spring Is Around the Corner
Some of the plants on the property are getting a jump on spring (officially next week) by blooming in advance. Landscaping and gardening tasks are one of the many options for the work party. Ki’an works the tractor to spread dirt on the new grass pavers, which will eventually look as green as the ones already established.
Wednesday Work Parties
We have regular Wednesday work parties from around 9:30am to 3:30pm. There is plenty of work for people to do, inside and outside, light and heavy. Come for as much or little of the time as you wish. We have tools and gloves, but if you have your own, feel free to bring them. If you are around at 12:30pm, we feed you lunch.
