Bodhidharma-eastThe June film selection is “Why has Bodhidharma Left for the East?” In this stunningly beautiful cinematic gem, director Bae Yong-kyun presents the classic Zen koan in a visual format. Centered on the lives of an old master, a young monk, and an orphaned boy in a remote mountain monastery, the film explores the quest for enlightenment and the process of spiritual transformation through the way of Zen.
