Before registering for your first Seminary class, you must complete preliminary steps required for either Seminary students or Dharma Studies students.
Both Seminary and Dharma Studies students may register for Part 1 core classes. To take a Part 2 seminary class, you must be enrolled in the Seminary Program.
Classes Currently Open for Registration
This all-day workshop (plus pre- and post-assignments) covers ethics; team leadership skills; dynamics of power; diversity, equity, inclusion issues; mentoring and apprenticeship methods, and more. Students must have either completed the five core Seminary classes or have been enrolled in Seminary since 2017 or before.
The workshop will be held in person on campus (strongly preferred – the workshop will likely be small), with a Zoom option for those who are unable to attend otherwise. This year we will meet Saturday afternoon July 17 from 1-5pm, and the following Saturday morning July 24 from 9am to noon.
Registration Deadline July 15.
Methods of Practice is a cohort-based independent study that meets on Zoom for three Thursdays during the Fall. It is open to seminary students who have completed the five core Seminary classes or have been enrolled in seminary in 2017 or earlier. Dates to be determined.
Registration Deadline September 10.
This fall, the Seminary program will Buddhist History through Texts, one of the five core courses. Jyoshin will teach the class, which will meet weekly from September 21 to November 23.
