Spring Term Student Program
8500 NE Siskiyou St

The For the Spring Term student program this year, we will emphasize Dharma expression. We will learn to map our personal experiences onto a more formal Dharmic framework by building on the shared language we began to develop in the Fall Term student program. By clarifying the truth of one’s own life and experience, participants gain skills to articulate internal experiences in ways others can understand and find useful.
The first retreat will focus on using a personal experience to create a brief talk. The topic of the second retreat will be revisions of the talk from the first retreat. In the third retreat, each participant will hone their talk down to its essence and present that as a mondo verse.
While this may sound daunting, the program is designed for members at any stage of practice. Each participates at the edge of their own personal practice. This is a supportive way to play with how we each give voice to our sense of what is important in our lives. We see what is unique to an individual and what is common to the group.
The Spring Term student program is open to members. It is not necessary to have attended the Fall Term student program last fall, but you must have attended a Fall Term student program at some time in the past. Registered participants should plan on attending all three retreat days: March 21th (Zoom), April 11th (Zoom), and May 23rd (Zoom). Please contact Jyoshin with any questions.
