hiroshima-day-2011-logo-for-1Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility and partner organizations (including Dharma Rain Zen Center) invite you to join us for Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki: Creating a Nuclear-Free Future, our 2016 memorial of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

We are still in the process of planning the program, but are pleased to announce that Hideko Tamura Snider, a hibakusha (survivor of the atomic bombing) who made a profound impression at our 2011 commemoration, will be back to share her remarkable story this year. Also joining us will be Unit Souzou, a Portland based taiko ensemble, and our event emcee will be Lynn Longfellow, Executive Director of Oregon Nikkei Legacy Center.

We hope that you will join us on August 9th in remembering the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and learning more about our work for a world free of nuclear weapons.
