Our annual vigil-style retreat leads up to people taking the Precepts during the Jukai ceremony on Sunday. Individuals who receive the Bodhisattva Precepts formally become Buddhists. Receiving Jukai at Dharma Rain is a very personal step toward clarifying and deepening one’s own intention to live as a Buddhist. The Jukai ceremony takes place at 11 AM on Sunday, February 21. See the full schedule. All are welcome to attend, whether you are taking the Precepts or not, always subject to our cap of 25 people in the building at one time. If you are planning to attend the Sunday morning program, you need to register during the week before.
Registration for the retreat is closed. Early morning zazen and Sunday morning’s ceremony are open to all – see Zoom links below. Registered participants have the Zoom links to the rest of the day and evening, and access to sanzen in the afternoon.
