Denkoe Sesshin
Denkoe celebrates Dharma Transmission from master to disciple from Shakyamuni Buddha down to the present day. This intensive retreat (sesshin) will focus on a chapter in the Denkoroku, which chronicles the transmission of living wisdom in the Soto Zen tradition. The stories reveal both the obstacle and moment of awakening for each Dharma Ancestor in a unique, myth-like style. Teachers make the stories accessible and relevant to our own daily lives and practice.
Denkoe begins 7pm Monday and ends Sunday morning before the regular Sunday program. Dawn and evening sittings are open for drop-in at no cost. See the Schedule.
