Sesshin is an intensive silent retreat for Zen practitioners with some experience. Full day schedule consists of zazen, walking meditation and movement, mindful eating (oryoki), work practice (samu), dharma talks and meeting with the teacher in sanzen.
Participants must be members of a Zen sangha and able to attend the whole retreat. Cultivating the Way is held on an organic farm where participants camp in a rustic setting. Participants should be experienced in Zen ritual forms and have a daily meditation practice. Having done a full day Zazenkai is highly recommended.
