Ango Begins
Beginning September 1 and ending at the end of Rohatsu Sesshin (December 10 this year), we observe an Ango period of intensified practice. (See the wheel of the year for an overview of our liturgical calendar.) Zazen starts earlier on weekday mornings, followed by a somewhat longer morning service, and we add a mid-day hour-long sit. Classes and other programs start back up, the fall Term Student program fits within Fall Ango, and in general, there are more activities available. Take a look at the calendar, and see what makes sense for you to sign up for.
