Meditation, hunt-a-monk, and two hours of silence: welcome to Buddhist summer camp, as told by NPR.

At Dharma Camp, in the foothills of Oregon’s Cascade Mountains, campers make friendship bracelets, play games and try to keep their fidgety bodies still enough to meditate. Dharma Rain Zen Center has run Dharma Camp each summer for nearly thirty years. It is a core offering of our Youth and Family Program that also includes Dharma School and Frog Song Montessori preschool during the academic school year.
