This workshop will offer parents and teachers an opportunity to look through a different lens and explore how mindfulness can help you navigate the world of parenting.

Workshop participants will:

  • Learn about mindful awareness and neuroscience and how this information can support your understanding of children and parenting
  • Understand basic principles of child development
  • Gain knowledge and skills for mindful parenting
  • Practice self-care in the midst of everyday stress and challenges

Jean Berg

The workshop will be presented by Jean Berg, LCSW. Jean has over 30 years experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has a strong focus and passion in mindfulness, restorative justice and trauma informed practices. She facilitates trainings in mindfulness for school districts around the country.

The workshop will take place in the Frog Song classroom. It is free of charge but space is limited so please reply to Shin’yu [shinyu at dharma-rain.org] to reserve your spot.
