This retreat focuses on practice in the work place. To accommodate participants’ working schedules, the retreat is limited to mornings and evenings through the work week and with an all-day session on Saturday ending at 4:00 pm. Evening Teisho talks, presented by Fumyo, will explore work-related themes from Dogen’s Tenzo Kyokun, “Instructions for the Chief Cook.”
Guidelines for meeting work and family with the heart of meditation will be offered. The retreat ends with a day of meditation and Dharma discussion. Lunch on Saturday is included; sign-up for additional meals is available. To do that, send an e-mail to , and specify which meals you wish. Breakfast and dinner are available Wednesday through Saturday. Cost for non-members is $15; the member discount is $12. It is possible to attend only part of the retreat. If you are not able to attend all zazen periods, please enter and leave at natural breaks in the schedule.
