Especially designed for elders and others who might need accommodation and yet still want to practice Zen, this four-hour Zazenkai provides a welcoming space. The schedule will include about 2½ hours of zazen and kinhin. Some of this will be untimed to encourage you to experiment with finding physically and mentally sustainable ways to do your own practice. There will also be a short service and a discussion around elder and differently-abled practice. Sanzen will be offered. Gyoshi’s Dharma Talk, “The Pivotal Opportunity of Growing Old” provides useful background to the intent of this retreat.
